http://www.nwcn.com/story/news/2015/11/28/2-canadians-free-bald-eagle-trap-take-selfie/76518276/Two Canadian men rescued a bald eagle that was stuck in a trap and then took a selfie with it.
Michael Fletcher from Sudbury, Ontario, told Buzzfeed Canada that he and his brother were hunting grouse when they found the bird stuck in a trap. They told Buzzfeed that one of the bird's talons was caught and that the animal was pretty calm, saying it probably exhausted itself from trying to break free.
...
In the video, you can see Fletcher take off his jacket and try to wrap the bald eagle in it to prevent it from moving while they free it. They were eventually able to free it from the trap.
...
As for the two who saved the creature, they say they're just happy they found it when they did so they could set it free.

Canadians are clearly smarter than Americans, which is evident by the fact that I was not able to provide the image or video links. Both are amazing.

(19,926 posts)I was out in a park in the San Fernando Valley with my dog and there's a section there where no dogs are allowed to keep it safe for birds. So there are bird lovers that hang out in that park.
In another area there was a group of about 15 people staring up into a large tree. I asked them what they were looking at and they told me it was a pretty young bald eagle. They were bird lovers so they said judging by the size it was pretty young. No one had any idea what it was doing in that location though!
