I believe in safe spaces

But not safe spaces for black from white or women from men or gay from straight or people with disabilities from the non-disabled.

I believe in safe space for the abused from the abusers. For the sensitive from the insensitive. For the hearing from the tone-deaf.

I believe abusers can be filtered out from our society if we know how to ask the right questions of people and not let them into our institutions when they provide the wrong answer.

If we can filter out minorities for hundreds of years, we can flip it and filter out abusers.

What the "right" questions and the "right" answers are. In theory the system may work, but seems to have an enormous potential for abuse.

That was sarcasm as was my previous post.

I agree with your first post and just played on it.

It's happened before that I've assumed it and it turns out I was wrong.

Who decides what is insensitive? What qualifies as a sensitive person?

Maybe someone thinks BLM protesters qualify as "abusers"?

I will never support going down that path.

Many conservatives already think they are abusers. Blocking access to buildings, blocking highways, etc.

The problem with rules is whoever is in charge gets to make them up.

"For the sensitive from the insensitive."

That's kind of the point. The sensitive are hyper-sensitive and expect the rest of the world to accommodate.

At a certain point, these special snowflakes need to suck it up.
