I don't know if anyone here has/is following the murder of Laquan McDonald here in Chicago...

There was a press conference a little bit ago, pre-video release of this young man's murder. Emanuel and McCarthy tag teamed the conference. McCarthy should have been gone ages ago, and I suspect had the video that's going to be release shortly, been released before the election, I doubt Emanuel would have been reelected. I've seen them look pathetic before, but this really tops the cake. They're scared shitless.

http://wgntv.com/on-air/live-streaming/

The reporter who won in court for the release of the video was denied entrance to the press conference. Wow. One fucking mistake after another.

Emanuel still claiming he hasn't seen the video, which no one is buying. What a clusterfuck.

(My husband's comment, and I totally agree)

OK, so the Police Commissioner just said he is "confident in the city" so that folks won't go nuts because they finally got around to indicting a police officer for murder since he put 16 shots into a young man's back 14 months ago. I wonder if he has a bridge to sell too? ‪#?whotheFishekidding‬

My heart and thoughts are with Laquan McDonald, his family, and friends.

Was watching the link someone posted to Chicago streaming right before seeing your post, and they said in 14 years this cop has received 18 complaints, and there have been no actions to check him.

Thank you for posting this nightmare. Everyone needs to know what happened. Now there's no doubt at all.

Plausable deniability.

Who sure as fuck saw it was Ald. Ed Burke. Head of City Council Finance Committee. Any settlement over 75k or so he has to sign off on. I have never heard of a 5 mil pretrial settlement. Even on the drunk bridgetender who killed the cabby. Or the drunk streets and San guy who ran down the newlywed.

Who is Ed Burke? He is the guy the President went to Beverly to bend the knee for a few years ago.
