And the brainiacs told us this Syria thing wouldn't escalate. ROFL. Worse, they

continue to push their failed policies, strategies, and candidates.

Have they no humanity at all?

We are staring into the abyss of WWIII, and we started it with the invasion of Iraq over oil.

8. The amazing thing about that stunningly ignorant and insulting post is:

that is exactly what the Neocons were telling us about invading Iraq.

"George Bush has so much more access to intel than we do. We should trust the President to act in our best interests."

Yes, it is authoritarian behavior. Sickening that Democrats would buy into it - but then again, that seems to be how those Democrats roll (and it's why I'm no longer a registered Democrat).

Think we'll see a retraction, haha?

who continued to jump up and down with their hair on fire about the impending "Soviet threat" all through Gorbachev's premiership right up until the day before the Berlin Wall got taken down with sledgehammers.

Most of the people in "intelligence" couldn't find a Kodiak bear in a phone booth or a herd of buffalo inTimes Square. They only know what they believe, facts be damned, and what their masters want them to believe.

7. If your job in "intelligence"

is to go after your political enemies, repress free speech of opinions your government opposes and facilitate the arrest of petty criminals while appropriating their belongings, then you pretty much described what the NSA, DHS, FBI and the various minions in local police departments do.

Finding terrorists? Uh, why would they want to do that? they'd lose funding if the public wasn't periodically terrified that they are necessary!

Why do you think they haven't stopped a single terrorist attack? There is no money in stopping terrorist attacks, but there is a shit-ton of money in "preventing" terrorist attacks.

which looked like something from Cronenberg's Videodrome, I knew we were in a brand new war of terror.

As soon as "Isis" made good on their threats, I knew a big war was coming.

The obvious has been staring us right in the face but most refuse to see.

The Cuban Missile Crisis was staring into the abyss. This is a three-day hike, four bridges, an interstate freeway, and two bus stops from the abyss.

Irrational soothsaying really does tend to make one look like a religious madman... the Broadway Avenue Prophet wearing sandwich boards proclaiming "then end is nigh! Fire! Fear! Flood! Famine! Have they no humanity at all?"
