Trey Gowdy gets sued, will have to testify about Benghazi

http://www.dailynewsbin.com/news/trey-gowdy-gets-sued-over-his-benghazi-sham-hearings/23089/

It turns out Trey Gowdy didn’t merely harm his political party and derail his own congressional career when he decided to harass Hillary Clinton with dishonest questions about the Benghazi tragedy for eleven hours while the nation watched on television, as she swatted down his questions like they were mere flies in a manner which boosted her poll numbers. As the fallout continues, the sham hearings have resulted in a lawsuit against Gowdy himself, by one of the people from his own side.

The hilarious part is that the thing that got their panties in a wad was that there were drinking parties in the day during office hours. I know that this isn't professional, but really to me it's the least offensive thing this committee has done.

Article I , Section 6 of the Constitution says members of Congress can't be sued. This will go nowhere.

that is for official acts, this is for defimation.
It's like Clinton and Paula Jones.
Precedent says he can be sued.

Clinton was sued for acts before he became President. Article I, Section 6 covers members of Congress while they are in office. It says nothing about "official acts". Clinton was not in Congress. Sad you have not read the Constitution.

is about Gowdy and his agents defaming him outside the House.
I guess it will be up to the courts to decide if it is covered.
