They found my brothers body today 8-( ..... (update 3...)

For those who were following this, we got the call a couple of hours ago that a homeowner found my brothers body tucked away behind a planter a few blocks from his house. guessing he had been there for the last week. he decided to take his own life rather than reach out to his family for help. 8-(

this is what we know so far.....
Sheriff's department is organizing a search party made up of Law Enforcement and Cupertino Emergency Response workers. Hopefully, they have more success than we have. In the mean time they are also getting phone records and Kevin was successfully able to get some limited search information from his personal laptop last night as well.
He left El Camino Hospital against their wishes at 9 and went home, ditched his car around the block. PD came looking to help at 10:20, he was gone. We know GPS phone movement from 10 - Saturday until the phone shut off at 1am. All movement within a mile or so of the house. PD search ed for 3 hours. Have retraced those steps. No money removed from bank, 1 cc not touched, alert placed on accounts. Searched miles of local creeks. Searched local parks and businesses. Called all Cupertino hotels and Santa Clara hotels, others are working on local cities. Uber confirmed no pick up. Taxis won't give info. Checked all local hospitals as of yesterday, but they give limited info. He did not report to work. He missed important Dr appointment today. We are currently trying to hack into his laptop. His work is going to get into his work laptop. Waiting for any other direction from PD. That's all we have for now.
I also facebooked every media outlet in the bay area tv radio and print with his information and case number.
this still feels like a dream like its not real. how does someone with no car and no money just disappear for days and days in 2015 with all our tech and surveillance?
weird as it is to say there really is no update. 24 hours ago or so he was at the hospital or leaving the hospital. the cops went to his place and checked it. the cops think he was going to do something at the house after writing the notes and maybe he saw the cops cruising around and decided to take off. he has the keys to his car but its a block away or so. we told someone out there to flatten all his tires or disable it however.
family and friends are either on the scene or arriving soon to look for him. we are just waiting for word.
to me its like its not really real but a movie or dream. my little brother would never do something crazy like this. for him to be gone is not even a possibility. he's passed out at a friends or something......
He lives in the bay area california. About 15 years ago he was rear ended pretty bad on the freeway. since then he has been in consistent pain. he's spent tons of money on doctors and chiropractors and drugs and therapy. some of it works temporarily. none of it cures him of the pain.
most of the time its just a 2-3 on the scale of 10. some times it flares up to 6-7. the last 3 weeks we found out that its been 8-10 and he hasnt slept or eaten for days. he works from home or would have lost his job long ago. he cant drive or handle the noise of the train up to san francisco.
Saturday he went to the hospital and they wanted to keep him under watch and he checked himself out. they notified the cops per policy and a welfare check at his home found an abandoned car a couple of blocks away and 1 or more suicide notes.
his phone is pinging within a 5 mile radius but no sign of him so far after about 12 hours of looking. cops have him as a missing person at risk.
family is freaking out.
positive energy much appreciative.

I was wondering if he had tried medical marijuana. If depression is part of this, it can make pain worse, and mj might ease some of those effects. I live with chronic pain too, and the cold (which is here now) makes it so much worse. I'm glad he's in Cali, as the temps there are better than here...but your temps are dropping and just a rapid drop in temps can cause a lot of havoc.
Oh, and I don't know how effective they are, but has he tried a pain clinic? They are expensive (too expensive for me)...but maybe they can offer him help?

my sister killed herself a few months ago and I send you my most heartfelt condolences. I have come to the conclusion that she decided she'd had enough and that was it. I am sorry for the agony of wondering for so long, it shows that you cared and loved him which really does matter even if he couldn't see it.
