'The men who work war, who make war, are cursed, they are criminals' Pope Francis

“Everywhere there is war today, there is hatred ... What shall remain in the wake of this war, in the midst of which we are living now?

What shall remain? Ruins, thousands of children without education, so many innocent victims: and lots of money in the pockets of arms dealers. Jesus once said: ‘You can not serve two masters: either God or riches.’ War is the right choice for him, who would serve wealth: 'Let us build weapons, so that the economy will right itself somewhat, and let us go forward in pursuit of our interests. There is an ugly word the Lord spoke: ‘Cursed!’ "

If the war in Syria was sending arms dealers broke, the conflict might look very different.

He had to do quite a lot of war while my Nan looked after my mother as she grew up in a bomb shelter in London during the Blitz.

So, how cursed IS my grandad? Is he in hell? I hope not, he was a quiet guy but he was really nice to me.

Clintonites rationalize and excuse so hard it literally reminds me of Bush followers. She voted for the Iraq War...and cheerleaded it as hard as Tony Blair did. And what matters is your stance. There wasn't one person who started wars. In fact, American citizens who didn't protest in the streets what was being done in their name with their money are also to blame. And when I say blame I mean severely.

the person who starts the gun fight is the one who pulls the trigger. I know, I know - John Kerry started the Iraq War, John Edwards started the Iraq war. etc etc. This is a dead parrot.

They have blood on their hands. Plenty of us were screaming how evil this was. They decided to play it safe...with other people's lives. None of them deserve to be President and either does Hillary.

screaming at the TV. The scam was so obvious, the media so oblivious. GWB was determined to start that war, no matter what. Millions of people on the streets made not one jot of difference. That feeling of outrage and despair is still raw. The crimes still stand, unanswered without account. BFEE show their faces in public, more than Nixon ever did.

However compromised, would you prefer that the man said nothing.

Here is the question I have, 'what other 'leader' is telling it'? But this guy should shut up right?

having personally suffered at RCC schools - not sexual abuse thankfully, but from pervasive cruelty.

From a cold political perspective this pope disadvantages the GOP in multiple ways, across crucial segments of the electorate, and I will take what I can get.

On this point he is right and it is worth posting. The left says this sort of thing but almost all word leaders are 'inexplicablly' $ilent.

'Frantic' does not encourage me to return to the religion of my youth. I am still bitter and wounded. I have had a gut-full of Emperors, religious or otherwise.
