GOP/Fundamentalist "War On Women" Is A War On Sexuality Itself in The Long Run.

When you look at all the antics the GOP and religio-nuts regarding abortion and reproductive rights you are seeing a war on sexuality and a person's private sex lives. The battle over reproduction is about eliminating contraception in the US. As far as fundamentalist Christians and the Catholic Church are concerned sex is only appropriate for conception and ONLY when legally married.

Sex for intimacy or pleasure is "verboten" under all circumstances. These radicals want to go back to the days when expressing your sexuality is dangerous and risky. These forces are against even mechanical means of contraception like condoms. The GOP's is cutting funding for STD testing, contraception of all kinds that involves any tax dollars whatsoever.

Besides that they are trying to end even private insurance from paying for reproductive and contraceptive services altogether. They want people to pay "out of pocket" for all these expenses. And even have eliminated "prenatal" care.

By defunding and closing Planned Parenthood clinics they are threatening even the control of infectious diseases. These clinics also test people and help control STD's and HIV, which are a threat to public health.

So if you want to make love it should be as risky as possible and dangerous unless you are MARRIED. And in the end women are supposed to bare most of the responsibility.

Remember there was a time when using contraception, fornication and adultery were a prosecutable crime. In their ideal world fundamentalists would gladly go back to that place.
