As the old saw goes, police work is 90 percent boredom mixed with 10 percent adrenaline-pumping mayhem.

Exhibit A: Dash-cam video showing Nebraska state troopers chasing, then getting shot at by, a Council Bluffs man with a history of meth use and a burning desire to get away.

Daniel J. Campbell, also known as Daniel Huerta, didn’t get away despite a desperate attempt that had him leaning out a window, pumping a sawed-off shotgun and firing at troopers.
