Should President Obama invite Ted Cruz to White House for face-to-face meeting?

"Sit down, Senator...make yourself comfortable".

"Why, thank you, Mr. President..."

"I see that you think I have insulted you in some way? You are a legal immigrant, is that right?"

"Well yes, I was born in Canada..."

"Senator, I will cut right to the chase...You, as much as anyone, should understand that we are a nation of immigrants. I think you do a disservice to this country and to yourself when you badmouth what this country stands for, just so you can get a little political benefit from the most right-wing of your Party. I am deeply insulted by your comments and I just wanted to tell you to your face... You can leave now"...

Obama can shit on him like you said directly in a press conference or interview.

Don't dignify that bag of shit by giving him a propaganda tool.

I wonder if any of it is due to his calling out the President for "insulting" him and doesn't have the courage to tell him to his face?

I read all over the place that he kicked ass in the last debate. With Carson's support abandoning him, I suspect Cruz is simply picking up that support.

I would much rather he be the nominee than Trump. Trump will always appeal to the xenophobes, the insecure and those enthralled with celebrity. But he's no conservative. Cruz wants a return to the crusades because he really believes G-d wants him to be President.

Trump has had liberal tendencies in the past and is playing to Republican primary voters right now. He knows what they want to hear. Cruz, on the other hand, is as right-wing as he talks. He is more dangerous, in my opinion.

didn't articulate it clearly enough. If I HAD to vote for one of the gop nominees, it would be Trump. He's no conservative. He's also not an anti-semite. Cruz would just be easier to beat.

Oh dear his feelings are so easily hurt.
The poor guy should find some other business.
Maybe stitching fluffy stuffed animals
in a factory somewhere. Somewhere
he might appreciate minimum wage
and healthcare.

Like Richard Nixon, he would be down on his knees in the White House, begging some underling to pray with him...

He would be grandstanding and obnoxious as ever but Obama would be cool as usual and come out of the exchange the winner.
