Harvard: Portraits of black law professors vandalized

The plague of college hate crimes spreads from Mizzou to Harvard.

A spokesman from the Harvard University Police department said it’s an “open and active investigation.”

Dean Martha Minow sent an e-mail to the law school community after learning of the vandalism.

“I am saddened and angered by this act,” she wrote.

Minow wrote that she was convening a meeting with law school students and staff at noon Thursday to discuss the incident.

Images of the tape on the portraits were shared on Twitter by Jonathan Wall, a third-year law student.

Wall said the images were sent to him from a classmate at the school early Thursday morning.

“I was shocked. I was shocked, and I was obviously disgusted. Especially because it seems to be in response to yesterday’s day of activism,” said Wall.

Odd, don't you think?

What's also interesting is that the thing about the Royalls and the Antiguan slaves was also featured in the first blog article about the tape.

There are a large number of possibilities.

How shall we choose among competing hypotheses? Perhaps there are methods for doing that.
