SANTA ANA ... A ceremony Tuesday fulfilled a promise Santa Ana and county officials made this summer to rid county property of the Confederate symbol by replacing the 50 state flags that have flown at the Plaza of the Flags since the 1970s.

(38,437 posts)Acknowledging that the Confederacy once existed is not the same as celebrating the economic advantages of slavery. Roni Dean-Burren called out McGraw-Hill for rewriting history when they called slaves "workers". She was bang on.
