Jared Fogle to be sentenced in Federal Court in Indianapolis today

INDIANAPOLIS — Former Subway sandwich pitchman Jared Fogle will be sentenced in federal court in Indianapolis on Thursday after pleading guilty to one count of possession of child pornography and one count of traveling across state lines to have sex with a minor.

Under federal law, Fogle faces a sentence of five to 50 years in prison.

Fogle's attorneys are asking for five years. Federal prosecutors are asking for 12½ years. A presentencing report recommends 11 years and three months to 14 years. The judge will make the final decision within the five to 50 range.

U.S. District Judge Tanya Walton Pratt is widely considered the toughest judge in the Southern District in terms of prison sentences.

If you read what he did (he's only pleading out on a few charges but there could have been dozens had he gone to trial) I favor handing him over to ISIS.

From the sounds of it, I agree with you that there would have been dozens given his penchant for wanting to set up "parties." I don't know how the woman handled it once he started asking about her own small kids. It made me rather angry at her.

...and pretty soon after Fogle starts speaking and expressing his enthusiasm for his acts, I couldn't take any more. This guy needs 50 years. This is a guy you don't put back out on the streets.
