(10,642 posts)I heard about him but by the time I remembered to watch, he got eliminated.
Hepburn
(21,054 posts)Is that who you are thinking of?
Now I remember that show. It was one of the few times I knew what the answer to Final Jeopardy was...the Space Needle!
Thanks!

(10,642 posts)Matt Jackson is a funny guy...sorry I missed him before but will definitely watch the finals!
malaise
(269,063 posts)but impatient to the point of being rude - refuses to let Alex waste one second

(10,642 posts)Meant to ask you before; did you ever see the ISS? It's flying over Seattle now but it's @5am or so, and it's been raining like crazy.
Hepburn
(21,054 posts)Will watch at 7:00 p.m. my time....don't be a spoiler, Malaise! However, I am now awaiting the start of this evening's show now that I have seen your post!
Tipperary
(6,930 posts)I missed it.

(21,054 posts)Will ck back later and if you don't have an answer, will let you know. This thread has me very curious!
Hepburn

(16,383 posts)One of only two TV shows my sons would watch with me. I wrote letters to the local channel and everything. How would I stream it?
Hepburn
(21,054 posts)...the questions were not on little screens but were on cardboard cards that were pulled as a contestant selected his/her questions. I was in grade school back then.
I tape the show in case I cannot watch...and my friend and I try to watch every evening. In fact, I am making us a snack -- potato skins and jalapeno poppers for show time. I really enjoy the Tournament of Champions.
Got my fav sweats on...chilling my A&W Diet Cream soda and getting ready to watch! I am so sorry that they no longer carry it where you are. This is one of the few shows I really enjoy!
Laffy Kat
(16,383 posts)I am really pissed I can no longer find it. Who doesn't love "Jeopardy"? Plus, they replaced it here with something really stupid, some celebrity show, I think.
Hepburn
(21,054 posts)I think we are giving away our age!
Laffy Kat
(16,383 posts)And we LIKED it that way! Seriously, born in '57 and proud of it.
Hepburn
(21,054 posts)Think I am 16, but am 67 years young!'
I am hoping you get Jeopardy back. One of the few decent programs on TV!
malaise
(269,063 posts)Way way too long - love it.
Hepburn
(21,054 posts)...jerked out of the slots!

(8,419 posts)I hope Matt does something stupid and loses. But only final Jeapordy is remaining so he would have to pull a Cliff Clavin.

Alex might give Matt a run for his money
Yorktown
(2,884 posts)I told you Alex would give him a run for his money - that was a beat down of enormous proportions.
Brother Buzz
(36,444 posts)It all depends on the categories and final Jeopardy! Statistically, Alex is stronger on Final Jeopardy!, but if Matt draws categories in his strengths, he'll run up the score and be unstoppable with a runaway. Two day wagering strategy is in play, too. Definitely fun times ahead.
Who's the third contender?
Brother Buzz
(36,444 posts)He needs to take his smart pills tomorrow. That, and get real lucky.
And speaking of pills, I'm still convinced the brilliant Alex is using opiates. Legal Oxycodone would be my guess.

(269,063 posts)We arrived in Miami yesterday for a few days with family. Matt will have to pull out all the stops here

(1,958 posts)(penultimate Tournament of Champions) and am proud to say that I got it correct while none of the champions got it correct.
I've always liked the book and the most recent film version was pretty good too.
