The Statue of Bigotry

"Keep your damn tired, poor, huddled masses yearning to breathe free to yourselves. You wretched refuse, stay on your own damn teeming shore. We don't want your homeless, tempest-tossed over here. My lamp is turned off."

I know it's ridiculous. After all, who would say such a thing? Especially when you consider that one of the main goals of ISIL's attack on Paris was to keep Syrian refugees from fleeing.

No one would be stupid enough to fall into their trap, and gift-wrap them a win like that, right?

Scare other countries into refusing refugees, which forces them to stay and fall under ISIS rule, this building the population they control, and growing their ranks. Not so weird.
