If PBO is at 51% on 11/8/16 we should be fine regardless of our candidate. DemocratSinceBirth Nov 2015 #3

Barring any foreign or domestic debacles presidents ending their terms become more popular as a sort of nostalgia sets in.

If you watched the Democratic debate you would have seen two candidates running away from him and one candidate staying as close to him as realistically possible.

Which is unfortunate because he truly is remarkably level headed and steady. A once in a lifetime President-- I don't think Hillary or Bernie will ever be able to handle balancing Americas interests and strength while still showing such restraint and calmness on an international level as Obama. There is a reactionary bloodlust and warmongering sweeping the world and the country, even these forums, but Obama is actually going against the grain and resisting it. He will pay the price in his poll numbers, but we will thank him in the long run.

Enormously grateful he is the one standing in the oval office now.
