that our only possible response to any event is a military one. They were blind to begin with - which is a big part of the original problem.

Hard to know what the right thing is. I wish we'd evolve on how to resolve differences, power struggles, border disputes and other causes of wars.

need to put the leaders who want to duke it out on an island, give them each an equal amount of munitions (no army though) and let them have at it till only one is left standing.
Then maybe incarcerate the one left standing for advocating war. That would let the people live in peace as most people want.

The Star Trek solution was just to herd X number of people off to die. Less destructive than bombing.

leader and by leader I meant the head of the government or the head of an organization trying to start a war.
Let the top ones who wants to make war do the war by themselves. No army, no backup crew, all by their onesies.
Just maybe they'd sing a different tune.
