(4,246 posts)I trust President Obama and he spoke out against boots on the ground.
I hope the allies make greater strides in cutting off daesh funding which will help a great deal.
However, the threats they are making to commit terrorist acts in the US and France (again) is on daesh.
You expect maybe the western powers and EU maybe turn the other cheek? Maybe we can be kinder and more helpful to poor misunderstood Daesh and put a bullseye on their targets so they won't miss? Be serious. In this case, if we go to war it will be justified. Daesh and they alone will be responsible for war.
There's a place for boots on the ground. Just not now. I'm sure if President Obama decides to send troops it will be justified. He's not dubya.

(58,785 posts)a crazy world. I don't expect him to always make choices that turn out to be the best ones, but I do know this current president is trying to be a force for peace, and with him, us.
