I have a work phone but I need a personal cell.
I'd like to get a phone that is from a unionized carrier.
Any advice?

(12,157 posts)I didn't think ATT wireless was but I see they offer discounts to union members.

Looks like there is some good news on the organizing front at ATT Mobility

Credo is a good liberal organization but the coverage may be spotty. I think they are reselling Sprint and in my area it is awful same with T-Mobile.
I think most of the cell phone people who have organized are in the retail sector.

(1,832 posts)I don't know much about Verizon - my guess is that like att the wireless is less union than the wireline side

(12,157 posts)Verizon is Verizon is Verizon but there's landline or core, wireless and enterprise. The same is true for ATT.
I'm retired now but when I was working (landline) people would ask be about their cell service troubles. All I could do was say I have the same problems with my company phone. They can't wrap their head around that there's a difference.

(14,449 posts)I guess they probably are decent with wages and other stuff. When I go into a store, the customer service is impeccable.
