There’s a straight line between Bush’s invasion of Iraq and France’s torment

The people who blamed Iraq for 9/11 remind you to blame refugees fleeing ISIS for ISIS.

"But ultimately, the chaos in the Middle East – and by extension the attacks in Paris – are the result of George W Bush and Tony Blair’s mendacious, disastrous 2003 invasion of Iraq. High-ranking Baathists from Saddam Hussein’s intelligence services, though secularists, joined forces with the jihadists who fought the occupation of Iraq."

Al-Qaeda in Iraq bred the even more extreme offshoot, IS. There’s a straight line between the radicalisation of Abu-Bakr al-Baghdadi, the IS leader imprisoned a decade ago in the Americans’ Camp Bucca, and France’s present torment.

1. Wouldn't targeting a country that actually sent troops to Iraq be a strait line?

France did NOT send troops to Iraq in GWB's invasion and lobbied quite hard against the invasion at the UN. That is a pretty crooked line IMO. But hey, gotta find someone to blame and GWB is an easy answer that fits a lot of peoples' chosen narrative

4. Actually the better answer is George H.W. Bush, or Bush I.

Maybe even Reagan and his funding of the rebels in Afghanistan in the 80's.

2. Look, I dislike gwb as much as the next sane voter

But all of this gwb attribution is starting to sound pretty unhinged, and frankly a bit insane. Enough now...I am sure there are those saying this is the result of droning a hospital...and that is actually more believable....

No thanks !

As long as the media continues to roll out the Neo-Cons like Cheney, Krystol etc...I and others will continue going after GWB!

If the Democratic frontrunner didn't vote for it....if the current Democratic administration hadn't served up 8 more years of exactly the same thing...no, it serves no purpose...

10. At the very least, it was the war of the US government. Yes, most of the votes came from Republicans

but it was a bipartisan vote, including many Democrats, and including Biden, Kerry and Clinton. Moreover, Obama has been in office since January 2009.

Calling it Bush's war is bs.

It is going to be hard enough to differentiate ourselves from thugs this cycle without the 'bush is to blame' crowd wandering around pretending we haven't had 8 years in the Whitehouse...

nation states that were only held together by the propped up dictators of outside interests. Take out the dictator, and all the violence that has accompanied the formation of nation states all through history is dumped onto the streets very quickly. The reason America, or countries in Europe, etc, are somewhat stable, is because they had the wars to figure out who was going to make the rules.

At least the somewhat modern history of chaos in the Middle East anyway. The rest of it is just because that's where human beings have been for such a long time.
