Minimum Wage is a Women's Issue

The majority of workers in minimum wage jobs are women, imo.

So raising the minimum wage will mainly help women.

Anyone who is for women and their equality should be fully backing every effort to increase the minimum wage as high as possible. Accepting less is not being very supportive of women.

Besides that is the pay inequality. Especially at lower levels of income.

And as a young man I had far more opportunities to move to a higher paying job, since I didn't have to worry about taking care of children, for instance.

How is this a women's issue exactly? Try living on $12.65 an hour, it sucks no matter who you are.

When you use the word minimum you are re-enforcing the metaphor that workers only deserve so much or they hurt society, but living wage is what we progressives like Bernie aim for, the ability to work and support your family with dignity. But you and I know who uses what words and we know who is really on the side of the people on this and every issue do we not? Go Bernie!
