I think this is a trial to see if they can displace their prime time hosts with more traditional news people. Expect to see more of Brian Williams and Harry Smith anchoring prime time this week. I am sure Brian Williams will be hosting from Paris the rest of the week in Prime Time. I expect the Morning Joe crew to remain. But MSNBC is going push the "liberals" out with the ISIS/French/Terrorism coverage. My prediction: Bye Chris Hayes, Rachel, and Lawrence.

(14,157 posts)Every since Comcast purchased MSNBC they been looking at ways to rid MSNBC of the "liberal" label. The plan has been in place for awhile, but the more "serious" news is giving them the excuse to accelerate their plan. Comcast sees this major news story as an opportunity.

(7,290 posts)The hosts are awesome, but they're commentators, not news anchors. When there is big breaking news, I would expect to see news anchors and not opinion hosts.
That includes in the Morning Joe hour, so I'll be curious to see how that's handled tomorrow.

(45,251 posts)their concern and, in their eyes, Joe starts their main programming day off right--in more ways than one. As for Mika, everyone dismisses her, including Tom Brokaw, who practically told her to her face that he finds her laughable. And she doesn't challenge Joe that much anyway.
It's all good.
