(12,232 posts)French media, quoting investigation sources, are now reporting that eight attackers have died.
Four reportedly died at the Bataclan; three at the Stade de France; and one at boulevard Voltaire.
I must stress this is unconfirmed, and earlier the Paris prosecutor said five were dead, but it is a developing situation.
We do know via police that a number of the attackers blew themselves up with suicide belts.
They also are reporting:
Separate reports say a further 200 people are injured, 80 of them seriously.
On air on France24, a reporter stated that one of the four at the Bataclan was at an emergency exit, so he could kill people as they tried to flee that way.

(12,232 posts)Tightening security at a large venue like the concert hall might help, but not for spaces like restaurants or malls.
I have been wondering if the suicide bomber outside the stadium was unable to get inside to detonate and that's why it happened outside.
I hope they don't go in a direction of a police state.
Have you seen Mark Ruffalo's tweet?
Don't allow this horrific act allow you to be drawn into the loss of your humanity or tolerance. That is the intended outcome.

(53,235 posts)them to do and have no rational clue why they do what they do, but they still run the world. It may be the PTB's heads that think up the orders but it's the 20-year-old men's bodies that carry out the tasks. I say we isolate men until they're 30 and less dangerous. (Not really, but it's a thought.)
