How superficial, how low-information, how banal. I guess the schools have to do this sort of stuff, and you can't tell little kids that their daddies and mommies are getting hurt and killed for nothing -- but damn, all those ceremonies have made made me want to puke, once I figured out shit in my twenties.

I never even liked high school pep rallies, so I guess I've been a reactionary little bitch for a long time.

In very rural Newaygo County. No paved roads within a mile, and none above two lanes. Most are just gravel.

Always good to see you, my good friend.

Which in part is to avoid military service and refuse to fight in pointless wars for oil, which we don't need if fossil fuels can be replaced by renewable sources quickly and painlessly; and, don't pay taxes to support such wars.
