I think that being ideology driven is why the right is so fucked up. The same can be said about the left if we adopt ideology whether or not it is the best choice for a situation. I guess I am saying I am leaning toward situation ethics. Also labels do little to solve real world problems.

(3,815 posts)Those questions are open to wide interpretation. For example, you can believe we are better off being active in world affairs while at the same time thinking we shouldn't get involved in every overseas conflict that comes down the pike.

the fact that many people don't.
Many people are pro military
and against diplomacy.
Many think that regulations hurt
business and are not worth the expense.
Many people in fact do think in either/or terms.
The quiz may be oversimplified,
yet many do think in exactly those terms.
