(59,592 posts)No reindeer or snowflakes or Santas or ribbons on the cup.
This insults Baby Jesus and makes him cry, and hideously persecutes Christians, also too.

(12,608 posts)Starbucks should sell snowflake stickers and reindeer stickers to put on the cups. This way the whiners will buy them and Starbucks would make money

Now I'm really conflicted.

(4,302 posts)have extended an olive branch in solidarity to the Pagans, in their outrage that Starbucks isn't honoring the Pagan symbols of the Christmas tree, wreaths and such. Nice of them to worry about another religion's representation.

(45,251 posts)they've long obsessed about the tree, both outdoors and in public buildings.
Someone told me about a Bible verse that admonishes against having a tree in the home. I don't remember the Book or Chapter, but am almost sure it was old testament. If so, maybe the birth of Jesus cancelled it out?

(4,302 posts)because the idea of killing a living thing just to decorate my house for a few weeks doesn't sit well with me personally.

(45,251 posts)Better fake than real, though. If people have land, they also sell trees with the root ball, so they can be planted outdoors after the holidays. Those are better than a dead tree, too.

(4,302 posts)I like the idea of selling the trees with the roots for replanting. But yes the entire idea of putting a tree festooned with Christmas decorations inside your dwelling is weird.

(133 posts)Businesses are supposed to be able to pay very low wages, sell products that are dangerous, and anything else that they want to do in the name of the sacred free market. But how they advertise and market their product is something that needs scrutinized in the name of a religious holiday that not all Americans celebrate. Priorities are really messed up.
