The Republicans should go back in time and talk to the Founding Fathers

They'd find out that they were mostly liberals and wrote a liberal Bill of Rights.

They'd find out that religious freedom meant freedom of religion and freedom from religion.
They'd find out that their cowboy gun laws were never intended.
They'd find out that corporations aren't people.
They'd find out that the police do not have unlimited/unquestioned authority.

They'd find out that women should not be allowed to vote.

Not all good, unfortunately.

That being the case, I can't imagine the Founders would argue against them.

Were the Founders perfect? God, no. That's not my point.

Freedom of speech does not contemplate the government deciding which "publisher" is entitled to First Am. protection and which isn't.

Fourth Amendment Need I say more?

Wall of separation between Church and State; no religious test for President

Right to trial by a jury of one's peers; right to counsel; etc. -- no limitation on this to US citizens, btw

I can't, can't, can't say Democratic politicians are as bad as Republican politicians. That would be a lie. However, I can't, can't, can't say they are blameless, either. I am beyond tired of pretending all bad things come only from Republican politicians. I know what good that does Democratic politicians. I don't know what good it does the rest of us.

... and talk to the Founding Fathers.

But on their way back, they should take a little side trip to kill baby Hitler.
