Carson Right About One Thing. Voters Are Generally Stupid And Vote That Way.

Carson is right. The ones supporting him are stupid. Maybe they ran into a hammer to the head during their life. Based on conversations I overhear he is right. We would not be in the predicament we are in in the US if voters had any brains or sense. Cycle after election cycle voters kept putting politicians who supported the same nut policies we are hearing about today.

Just look at Kansas, Lousiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania or other red states. Look at how screwed up they are. yet these governors got reelected in most cases. Even Colorado almost got a tea bagger.

I remember one conversation of a senior recently who said that his dad liked Kennedy because he was a womanizer and bullshitter so he voted for him and he was a GOPPER. And another was talking about how Werner von Braun got missile technology for a UFO. There are so many goofy conversations you hear in restaurants, pubs, et al it makes you head spin that these people vote.

Addendum. I am not saying all voters are stupid. Just too many are ignorant, uninformed, stubborn or incurious to examine the issues and the candidates. So many elections should not even be close much less lost to common sense.

Voting by emotion is not a smart thing. Just like going grocery shopping when you are hungry...also not smart thing if you are shopping on a strict budget.

Frequently the less intelligent (or educated or informed and i know these are not the same) the more the tendency to consider others (especially those that disagree with oneself) stupid

So many fox viewers for instance consider everyone who disagrees with them and fox news to be stupid

they must be as per logic of 'fox news is right' 'i watch fox news and i'm intelligent' 'thus you must be stupid'

and thus appeals to republican voters

at least so runs a hypothesis i just came up with based on observation
