Did anyone see Rachel Maddow's segment on that homophobe preacher in Iowa?

Huckabee, Cruz and Jindall appeared at that event. I thought this preacher was too far-out-there even for them, but never underestimate the stupidity of those three stooges.

But the center of attention was this guy who acted like he got into some bad drugs. He was ranting and prancing back and forth, his head practically spinning 360 degrees like he's part of an exorcism, ranting that gays should be executed, cherrypicking verses of the Bible to back his position. Of course, one of his resources was Leviticus.

Sometimes I think the people who put the Bible together just threw Leviticus in just to mess with us.

He seemed really mentally unstable and out of control. Sometimes with these guys they just seem like fakes and posers, but this man is frightening. I don't see how those candidates could have appeared at his event.

and I'm thinking how they condemn the Quran for violence.

I do not wish to live in a Theocracy and 1st Amendment aside, I would lock this guy up for inciting people to violence and murder.

He's no better than the rabid anti abortionists who then kill Doctors like Tiller.

This made me question the size of the audience. Usually, if these kooks draw a large crowd, they'll show it on camera to show they have a large following. But the reaction I could detect on Maddow was not the raucous, loud applause I've heard at other events featuring nutcases spewing their guns-gays-and-gynecology rants.

The fact that Cruz, Huckabee and Jindall even appeared at this event, let alone failed to call out this nutbag, should deep-six their presidential campaigns. If those three had any integrity, they would have at least walked out and gave some excuse that they became ill or something urgent came up. If they really believed in the teachings of Christ, they would have called out this goof and the message of his presentation. But they stayed there and let that certified nutcase get away with inciting murder on people because of their sexual orientation.

Huckabee has also demonstrated that he'll stand side-by-side with homophobe slacker hypocrites like Kim Davis. how anyone can consider him a legitimate candidate for anything - let alone POTUS - is scary to say the least.

as surely as if they'd attended a Klan rally. Unfortunately, it will probably bolster their chances among the Republican wack-job base.

Whereas Genesis is comedy gold. Remember the part where the all-seeing, all-knowing, and ever-present God character "comes back" to the garden and says, "Adam, where are you?" You see, Adam was hiding. Apparently, the tree of knowledge taught him how to make a God-proof ghillie suit with such perfect camouflage he could become invisible even to all-seeing eyes. When it comes to hide-and-seek, Adam wins the all time best of the best grand championship.

St. Paul's epistle to the Romans as "the Gospel of Jesus Christ," and that he conveniently left out slanderers and many, many other groups that Paul condemned in the same passage. I hope that Cruz et al. will be held accountable for their eagerness to align themselves with this vile miscreant.

This year, the Tibetan Lama who runs my meditation center in Irving TX actually married 2 gay guys, which has to be a first -- at least in TX. I was very very proud of him. Enough of hatred already. It's tearing our country apart. One of the things that stood out for me in Rachel's Dem forum last week, was the audience clapping and cheering every time one of the candidates said something about not tearing other candidate's character down and our country needing to come together and CO-OPERATE in solving problems together.

Demonization of people, who disagree with us, is considered non-virtuous speech in all Buddhist traditions. It's a very bad and unmindful habit. It is certainly non-productive.

is insanity, pure and simple. And Kevin Swanson is one wacked-out freak.

Islam concurs, however.

Swanson quoted Romans I, which also says that not obeying your parents should be punished by death. This is the state of modern Christianity, and Cruz, Huckabee and Jindal are right there, on their knees.
