Well the Conservatives in Canada have elected a new leader and she is a right piece of work.

Tried to define 'human being' as the first step to banning abortion. Pulled us out of Kyoto and tried to ban safe injection sites and medical marijuana.

The cherry on top is she's from an oil industry family and a big fan of Ayn Rand

The fail keeps on coming !! Gotta love it !!

Nice side story of Harper's last speech to his caucus. He was at the meeting for fifteen minutes, snuck in the back entrance and snuck back out again. Fucking arrogant coward can't even support the losers he left behind/

that is circling the globe. How so many people get sucked into the Ayn Rand idiocy is beyond me. Her books are barely readable.

And that is what Ms Rand was selling. All you have to do is read about her life, and everything becomes clear.

or they attempted to, while I was in high school. It was a family - father was a dentist, wife and three kids. In this case they were smug, thought themselves superior to all others in intellect, arrogant, and cruel.
She definitely promoted the dark side in people.

That is going to be interesting because the existing MPs are a bunch of nobodies because that is what Harper made of them by holding all the power in his hands.

In the meantime we have her as the leader of the opposition and Trudeau and his cabinet will tear her to shreds

Except when Trudeau capome along as a real alternative, I had hopes for Ignatief because of his writing and TV political commentary but that turned out to be a bust.

Conservative women don't have a good survival record as leaders tho/ They tend to be policy wonks like Campbell with a narrow range of appeal and ideological bandwidth

I'll check out Raitt

The media is tired of the conservatives. We have PM Trudeau now and Canada waited a long time for a change.

I am upbeat about our new PM and his Cabinet.
