I think it's possible that we may see resignations coming from MU faculty and the board of curators. Not to mention housecleaning at the other 3 campuses.

The same day University of Missouri System President Tim Wolfe announced his resignation, the deans of nine different MU colleges requested the dismissal of Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin.
In a letter sent Monday to Wolfe and the UM Board of Curators, the deans said they wanted to express "our deep concern about the multitude of crises on our flagship campus" and call for Loftin's dismissal.

(41,692 posts)The university was built on slave labor, and some of the buildings are named for prominent slave holders. Students and faulty are just now sharing some stories that should make everyone uncomfortable.
There is so much more that has been happening. Taking away subsidies for grad students' health insurance, revoking required privileges for the only abortion provider in Central MO under to appease a RW state senator who threatened to eliminate funding.
This is a good article about the university operating on a corporate model gone bad (Imagine that!!)

(12,265 posts)The President doesn't have Ph.D. he has a degree in business from UM and some type of "certificate" from Harvard. It appears he was brought in to make the liberal academics pay. Friends tell me this is just the tip of the ice burg where UM is concerned.
