One was on Thomas Roberts whining about seventh grade versus eighth grade. Now they're blaming the co-author - it's everyone's fault but 'make up shit Carson'.

It doesn't make any difference whether they been Democrat or Republican. Conservatives are never at fault. It maybe their maids fault or their chauffeurs fault or the guy who was running the camera, but never their fault. That is why they are so religious, they are perfect.

Hmmmmmmmmm....once you have dug the hole, stop digging?

In Carson's case, he climbed in and is burying himself and STILL has not stopped digging.

He's nuts, IMO.

Charles Blow at the New York Times points out that the Liar label Carson has acquired will affect him beyond his presidential aspirations, so it's a question now of damage control in terms of future earnings. Also, Carson leads the Republican field in the campaign coffer domain, according to the FEC 3rd quarter report, so he's got wiggle room to recover.

I'm thinking nine months before he withdraws his candidacy. Still waiting for the fat lady to warm up.

I take the over.

if Carson gets to continue pissing and moaning about the media, how their investigations amount to witch-hunting, etc., he could make it through the primary based solely on the natural distrust Republicans have for investigative journalism.

the catch is, he has to stay calm the whole time he does it. that's going to be tough for him, since he's visibly agitated by questions regarding his veracity. that's understandable, since he's become basically a professional autobiographer, but deadly to his Reaganesque aspirations.

if he can find a way to re-cast his version of history from anecdotes and personal experience to metaphor and parable, he can salvage his writing career and maybe his candidacy.

"whether it's true or not isn't the point," his supporters will say, "Ben Carson is a man of GOD and a messenger of Great Wisdom."

and he's still got a lot of campaign money to blow through.

his main problem right now is how Trump will exploit this perceived weakness. if he thinks the media is harshing his vibe now, just wait until the Donald starts rolling with it. authoritarians may forgive him for his lies, but there's nothing preventing them from swapping back to Trump on the basis of perceived strength.

If he were white, he might be able to overcome this to actually stand through the primaries. I suppose it would be possible to deflect the criticism to the media, as Bush did when Rather lost his job. It seems to me, though, that the media target is bigger than one anchor person in this case and the many lies will ultimately bring him down. I don't think he'll still be here by the time Nebraska caucuses. I'll take the under on this one.

I worked for a company that got sued by Mannatech. Mannatech is a completely fraudulent health care supllement seller as wella s a MLM. Just total creeps who grow their company by suing other companies, kind of like Trump and the Koch Brothers.
