Roosevelt Field Mall's 'politically correct' Christmas display to be removed

Mall's 'politically correct' Christmas display is so bland that it offends shoppers and has to be taken down

Roosevelt Field Mall replaced their traditional display with a winter 'glacier'
Shoppers say they were told new decor was so as 'not to offend anyone'
But bland design sparked outrage and shoppers threatened a boycott
Now the mall has conceded and torn down all traces of the plastic glacier

A Long Island mall has been forced to tear down its 'politically correct' Christmas display to replace it with more traditional decorations after shoppers threatened a boycott.

Scores of customers complained after Roosevelt Field Mall, in New York, ditched its annual holiday village in favor of a winter-themed 'glacier' instead.

Many mocked the futuristic display as something that would look more at home on the set of Star Trek than as Santa Claus' grotto.
<snip>

Now DailyMail.com have learned that they mall have bowed to pressure and removed the glacier display entirely.

The mall have removed all traces of the bizarre white plastic design and gone back to basics with a red throne, Christmas trees and sled.

How is ditching the old stuff a concession to political correctness? The plastic glacier is just ugly.
