Snip: A 100-year-old record for the latest freeze in Omaha could be tied or broken if the temperature fails to dip to 32 degrees over the next few days.
The National Weather Services Van DeWald and AccuWeathers Dan Pydynowski said the wee hours of Friday morning could bring a freeze, which would tie the mark.
Its going to be close whether we make it or not, Pydynowski said Sunday. It could stay above freezing and break the record.
The latest date for an official 32-degree reading in Omaha is Nov. 13, 1915, according to the National Weather Service.
