All one has to do is remove it in the signature line in your account.

Posted an OP that linked to a site which, among other things, was soliciting people to sign a pledge to write-in Sanders in the general election if he loses the primary.

It's actually an excellent site, all about discussing ways we can reclaim power from the corporatists who have taken over. Other pages on that site discuss those issues without getting into the pledge idea, which I can see gets into a sticky area with DU's TOS.

The Loonix post, though, neither advocated doing so nor warned against it, merely linked to it. IMO we should be able to link to things for discussion, rather than pretending those things aren't happening in the outside world.

At the very least I woud have appreciated a warning or time-out rather than a PPR, 'twas a good poster. Not my site though, we post at the pleasure of the admins.

Apparently her Discussionist handle is Lefty, or something like that, I don't go to that site but I think I read that in a DU post after the PPR happened.

I won't post the site or the link here, probably not wise. I think Loonix's profile will get you there, I forget how, I think you can see her last post. If not try a search of her DU posts.

A poster can possibly create a new id, or the admins can prevent that (they see our IP in our posts), I don't know any more than that. As far as message boards go it is a pretty big deal, doesn't mean it's a big deal to you of course.

I turned off sig lines just a few moments ago but I noticed that some have the bug in their avatars. I remember early on DU I was on dial up so I had both Avatars and sig lines turned off so as to not slow down my du experience so bad. I may have to do the same with avatars also even though I'm on DSL now

I refer to people who do things differently than I as "the masses" too. It really allows us a splendid opportunity to trivialize and minimize a rather benign action while simultaneously implying that we, unlike them are individuals. Self-validation is super cool!
