Anyone else see the Donald dancing in the mock Drake video? Hilarious! The entire thing. Anybody else watching SNL? Just wondering. They had Larry David as Bernie. Sooo funny! And Hillary, omg, laughed so hard.

(51,638 posts)But I did not find Trump funny. Some of the skits were really cringe-worthy, especially the one where he is President and his actual daughter Melania is his Secretary of Interior. Oy.

(51,638 posts)Seeing Trump dance creeped me out. Reminded me of the pervy old guys you'd see in discos back in the day.

(102,328 posts)As for Trump, he's the horrific car crash-- from which one can simply not look away... I can understand why some are fascinated by him, but he really gives me the creeps.
Than again, truly narcissistic people like that usually do.

(2,003 posts)Just so Larry David can keep playing him for the next 4+ years! It's the funniest bit on the show!
And from what I've read, Bernie Sanders has a good sense of humor about it as well.

(50,300 posts)It was almost funnier watching Al Sharpton dissecting the appearance this morning with his long, serious, somber face. I'm sorry people. Even if it's someone you don't especially like, funny is funny.

(22,457 posts)Hispanics feel a bit differently when they are told to lighten up about a bigot who thinks they are subhuman.
I wonder how Hispanics feel about being told by the white man how they should feel?

(41,692 posts)I actually used voice recognition software so I didn't type it up. Where would my fellow Hispanics be if we didn't have the compassionate white man telling us what to feel?

Like I said, lighten up.

(43,189 posts)I actually do watch SNL, although usually on DVR. Skits are very hit and miss.....some are downright hysterical, others are groanworthy and drag on too long. Same could be said for the musical acts....some are great, others I just skip right through.
But I had no interest in watching the Trump show. The thing is, making a joke of one's self only works if you aren't already unintentionally a joke. Since Trump's already a clown, there's no point in watching him act like something he already is. There's no self-deprecation if you are already as low as you can go.
I do like Sia though. Was she at least good?
