Every one of Ben Carson’s lies has been carefully crafted to appeal to white racists

By Bill Palmer | November 7, 2015 |

- snip -

Carson’s thinly veiled message to America all along, even before he entered the political fray, has been that Black America is inherently bad and that White America is inherently good. It’s what all social conservatives believe deep down, whether they consciously realize it or not. But this goes beyond the usual collection of convenient lies which conservative leaders tell their conservative followers. This is different: each one of Carson’s lies is intensely personal, and each one attempts to paint him as a black man who was rescued by the white world.

First there’s his phony claim that he tried to stab a man to death. Even if it were true, no reasonable person would ever see this as an argument on his behalf. But he made up this story because he wants white conservatives to see him as a man who was ruined and driven to violence by black society, but who was then magically cured of his violent nature when he joined a white church and began talking like a white person. Then there’s his lie about getting into West Point, which initially doesn’t seem to be racially tinged until you consider that he emphasized the supposed “scholarship” involved, even though the academy is free for everyone who gets in. He was attempting to paint himself as a black man who refused to take a “handout” from a white school.

Of course the lie about shielding his white classmates from an angry black mob is the most transparently racist. Ben Carson is taking the day that Martin Luther King was assassinated, one of the most tragic of days for black Americans, and he’s inverting it into a scenario in which the black students on campus were the villains and the white students inside the classroom were the real victims. Of course he’s the one who saved the day for the white victims, as a way of paying them back for having saved him from being black.

But yeah, truly. His stories are simply appeals to white racism. That they are lies is obvious: they're so carefully constructed around the white racist worldview that they could only be lies.

"Rescued from being black", by a white Church.....now his whole worldview is driven by appealing to white racists while convincing himself all he is doing is following God's plans for blacks....which apparently is to be more white.....religious psychosis is a terrible thing.

Also explains the psychology and politics of Herman Caine, black some RW Sheriffs - the ones on Fox - that West guy, and a few more...truly a terrible mental illness made possible only by the passion extremist religion brings.

I was invited to attend a summer camp for prospects there (and I seem to recall - that I actually went for a week or two, but all I can remember almost 3 decades later is that people there get up ungodly early, don't get a lot of sleep, and basically were expected to be studying, exercising, or engaging in approved curriculars basically the entire time they were awake). And simply the lack of sleep was enough to kill off my thoughts of maybe going there, much less the notion of a lack of any sort of social life. On the other hand, I did get to visit the Cloisters, a very nice medieval museum, and pick up a couple of coding books at the MIT bookstore on the return swing back around visiting various colleges afterwards before heading home, so it wasn't a totally wasted trip even if I wasn't West Point material. The most memorable point of the trip, though, was seeing more empty beer bottles than I've ever before or since seen in my life on the lawns of Rennselear Polytechnic, after what I can only assume was the morning after a truly epic party.

But logically, this is exactly what one must do to court Grand Ol' Pervert voters- white racists and fundies are probably most of what's left in that tent.

They don't hate black people, they just hate "black culture"...which in their imagination consists of millions and millions of welfare queens and welfare Cadillacs.

He doesn't care if they hate him as long as he gets some of their money - hence the non-stop hawking of this or that.
