Heartbreaking: Chicago Police: 9-year-old Tyshawn Lee was targeted in gang shooting

(CNN)A 9-year-old boy shot and killed in a Chicago alley this week was the intended target of a gang-related shooting, Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy told reporters Thursday.

Tyshawn Lee was "lured" into the alley where he was killed, McCarthy said, standing steps from the crime scene.

"Tyshawn Lee was murdered in probably the most abhorrent, cowardly, unfathomable crime that I've witnessed in 35 years of policing," the superintendent said. "We're pretty certain that this is not an accident. He was not a bystander."

15. I know that when they provided summer jobs for kids in Chicago

they had less violence.

I know the cops and the gov't are highly corrupt in Chicago as well, and that people's mistrust in police makes them fear reporting crimes, which just continues the cycle.

I don't know what it will take for the good people in the inner cities to take a stand against the evil gangs, but somebody needs to stand up and say, "Enough."

The violent sociopaths have turned their worlds into war zones that don't really benefit anything but the purely evil.

And fear keeps the psycho gangs in place.
