Why do people keep taking Anonymous seriously?

They are LITERALLY just a bunch on Internet trolls. Are comments on YouTube videos ever considered deep insight?

A bunch of Internet trolls known for false claims and hoaxes should be a blatant red flag for total bullshit.

It's a recruitment tool for the government--set up a sting, round up the hacker-workers, sort through them, send the lousy ones to jail, hire the good ones. Use some of the good ones to recruit others in similar fashion...lather, rinse, repeat!

the "Expect us" branding, but they sure as hell aren't changing the world.

That's why I think they are a governmental recruiting agency for hackers.

They're just the same ol' internet vigilantes that think they're getting "justice" by putting all info they can about their target and his/her family out on front street.

Oh the irony: a group that revels in "unmasking" hiding behind internet anonymity.
