Operation KKK Is Beginning To Unmask Hate Group Members

Operation KKK Is Beginning To Unmask Hate Group Members

http://techcrunch.com/2015/11/01/operation-kkk-is-beginning-to-unmask-hate-group-members/
Posted 11 hours ago by John Biggs (@johnbiggs)

Operation KKK, an Anonymous-led effort to shut down the Ku Klux Klan, has begun in earnest. The main Twitter account is reporting that many KKK-related sites are down after concerted hacking efforts and that more are to come as they prepare for an action called HoodsOff on November 5.
...............

In some parts of the Internet attacks are already happening. A self-styled anti-hate group hacker who calls himself Amped Attacks and has taken down the official website for the Westboro Baptist Church in addition to a number of KKK websites. Most damaging, however, is his claim that he hacked into KKK websites and gathered identifying information for a number of state senators and mayors whose addresses appeared in KKK databases.

Jun 3, 2008 at 09:48:10 in Politics

“I am a middle aged African American Muslim male. As a child I experienced the Watts Riots, the chaos after the assassination of MLK. I remember experiencing racisim for the first time as a child born in the west and transplanted to New Orleans during the erosion of overt segregation in the south. I also remember of all people, George Wallace ,apologizing for his racist past. I remember that Chief Justice Brennan, also a former Klan member , was responsible for some of the most far reaching opinions in favor of social justice and civil rights. For all what we imagine separates whites and blacks in this country in particular, there are ties and bonds unseen that keep us together.Senator Robert Byrd has seen it all in his 90 years. As my grandma used to say.." What he has forgotten you could make a whole other world with". The capacity for someone raised in the times and environment he was is truly remarkable and testament to his great character and courage. I have ENORMOUS respect for the senior senator from West Virginia . May God bless him and give him long life as well as give him peace here and hereafter.”

If they didn't stand for these things they would be the Elks Lodge.

I’m not even sure this is worth responding to, but for the record: There is a list circulating online purporting to “out” elected officials as members of the KKK. For reasons unfathomable to me or anyone who knows me, my name is on the list. Given my background, my interracial family, my public record and my personal beliefs, this would be hilarious except that it is probably being seen by a lot of people who have no idea who I am.
So, just to be clear, for anyone who doesn’t know me: Don’t be ridiculous. I began my political career working for the rights of farm workers with Cesar Chavez. I have spent decades working for causes of social justice and equality. As Mayor, I have pushed for diversity in our workforce and outreach to and inclusion of people of all backgrounds in our community. In concert with President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper program, I began the Save Our Sons initiative to increase opportunities and reduce violence-related deaths among boys and young men of color. I have advocated publicly for LGBT civil rights, and I was the only mayor in Tennessee to sign onto the mayors’ amicus brief for the plaintiffs in the Supreme Court’s marriage equality case. In short, I don’t think the KKK would want anything to do with me.
I strongly request that anyone associated with the creation and dissemination of this false and defamatory accusation retract it immediately. It is irresponsible and slanderous. (Although, on a positive note, I do appreciate that they are using a picture of me from 12 years ago. Very flattering!)

There were actually three of them, carrying on about their love for Glenn Beck. I told them, "Well, Glenn Beck doesn't love you!" It got ugly.

How, exactly, does an out gay man safely remain in the KKK and not end up dead? I really want to hear the elaborate fantasy you've constructed where he remains a member of one of the most anti-gay groups on the planet.

Maybe you can add in a part where he slides across the hood of a fancy car and drives away from a massive explosion, like in an action movie.

...until 2005. He was married to a woman for seven years.

Again, my only point is that being gay doesn't make people magically not racist. I have no personal knowledge of Jim Gray's racism or lack thereof. I'm only suggesting that it's possible and that his 'gayness' doesn't automatically mean anything, one way or the other regarding whether or not he is a racist.

If he's had nothing to do with the KKK, campaign contributions or otherwise, I'm sure that will be easily proven and he will be rightfully vindicated.

so I know this list is 100% fiction... No way am I believing a word of this bullshit unless they have clear, high-definition video or something... I've met Fraim and know people in city government, and there's no way Klan membership would not have been known by *somebody* after 20+ years...Nevermind the fact that closeted Klansmen typically don't choose to be major in a city that's half-black and spend his entire working day surrounded by a city government that's almost half-black...

I realize they are all supposedly independent actors operating off the same template (the mask, the silly little "Expect us" and the dumbass mechanical voice) but it's obvious that some of these guys are better than others. I actually pay attention to things like hate groups and the KKK in 2015 is a joke. It's these random groups of rednecks who are more likely to get drunk and listen to David Allen Coe records than commit a hate crime.

Now, there are some truly scary white power groups running around out there. But I highly doubt any politician is openly associated with them.

He's almost certainly been to prison but he's claimed to have been on Death Row. He claims to have been great friends with Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings when there is very little evidence of that. http://www.motherjones.com/media/2008/03/aryan-outfitters-kkk-seamstress

Coming from five generations of Ku Klux Klan members, 58-year-old "Ms. Ruth" sews hoods and robes for Klan members seven days a week, blessing each one when it's done. A red satin outfit for an Exalted Cyclops, the head of a local chapter, costs about $140. She uses the earnings to help care for her 40-year-old quadriplegic daughter, "Lilbit," who was injured in a car accident 10 years ago.

The following is a photo essay about Ms. Ruth by New York photojournalist Anthony Karen, a former Marine who has spent several years photographing members of the Ku Klux Klan. The essay includes audio of interviews with Karen and Ms. Ruth.
