Benedict Cumberbatch Goes Off By Saying What We All Want To: ‘F*ck The Politicians’ (VIDEO)

But actor Benedict Cumberbatch isn’t just furious about teabagger assholes, he’s mad at all politicians who are handling the migration crisis in the worst ways possible. While starring in a performance of Hamlet at the Barbican in London, Cumberbatch has started saying a few things during the curtain call at the end of the show and asking the audience for a donation to help Syrian refugees. His work has actually raised over £150,000 ($230,000) for Save the Children.

But, Cumberbatch has taken issue with the British government who only plans to allow 20,000 refugees to enter the UK over five years. (As sad as that number is, the United States said initially we’d only take in a total of 10,000.)

During the speeches and pleas for cash, Cumberbatch has been reading a poem titled “Home” by a Somali poet named Warsan Shire which reads in part:

you only run for the border
when you see the whole city running as well
your neighbors running faster than you
breath bloody in their throats
the boy you went to school with
who kissed you dizzy behind the old tin factory
is holding a gun bigger than his body

2. There's no more asking if

we are "there" yet. We are "there" and refusing to see it for the vast majority of those who could stop the madness. Brutality is entertainment as we see on teevee, movies, video games, political theater... we are desensitized to this until it happens to us personally, then we become like the rest, helpless to stop the madness. All this while some claim the value of life is the most important thing on the planet while ensuring that life is in fact worthless except that of our own and those sitting next to us, blind to the plight of all "others".
