He, like Hillary, was pre-ordained and pre-screened for rightful White House ascendancy. All these other clowns? Meh...so they filed some papers. They're the rodeo clowns sent out to distract us from the bull(shit).
Be it small plane crashes, mysterious illnesses, affairs with teen-aged lovers, whatever, all of the rest of them will be gone soon enough so that the rightful battle between the two sanctioned warriors can begin.
I mean, seriously? Rubio?

(14,177 posts)Republicans care a lot more about that fire in the belly than we do. And Jeb does not have it. A lot of Republicans lose on that issue alone no matter how good they are on conservative issues.

I really hope the fistfights are on camera.
But yes, if they do field a candidate, it will be Jeb! because his dad and brother were SO good for the country. Besides, it's his turn.

(14,177 posts)It's like one of those fun house mirrors that keep repeating the image only it's Republican after Republican that goes into the infinite of crazy which one is worse this one or this one or this one I think the answer is they are all worse. So, that leaves them with trying to find that special one that is fired up. Jeb is not it. But, that being said we are talking about Republicans there is no telling what they will actually do.

(31,464 posts)The Republicans that do have a say in the matter are so high up on themselves and their self righteousness that they will never see the forest for the trees. Jeb? won't need a fire in his belly. They'll just put him up against Hillary and the hateful right-wingers will flock to vote for him. The script has already been written. That's why Jeb? seems so bored...he's not really fighting a fight. He doesn't have to. Daddy and his boys already have this all set up. He just has to wait it out.

(14,177 posts)I think Hillary wins if she runs against Jeb. He really doesn't want to win. And Jeb is going to have a hard time getting conservatives under 50 to the polls younger people simply don't care about social conservatism I am not even sure they care about taxes that much.

(7,014 posts)... for decades. That you are dismissive of her talents, intelligence and hard work does not bring Jeb to her level.
Jeb is looking for cool things to do. Hillary is driven and functions on a higher plain and at a higher level.
Your equating them in any regard will lead you to even greater disillusion.

(7,014 posts)You will need to elaborate. But I will respond that Hillary did not attack McCain/Feingold. She did not rule on the Citizens United case. She was the target of Citizens United.
The Clintons didn't create today's political dynamic. They are good at navigating it though. The political arms race, if you will, is perhaps in a large part a reaction to their talents which brought a new paradigm born in the late 60s and 70s when they came of age.
They took the populism and idealism of their youth and worked, really worked, so that they could effect policy in the raging crucible that is Washington.

(118 posts)Worked extensively on voting machine software vulnerabilities over past 12 years. Choquette, et al, showed how RNC boosted Romney over Ron Paul and others in 2012 primary. Unusual
"wins" for unpopular Govs like Brownback and Scott suggest the " unusual patterns " found in larger precincts have made their way to general elections. They thought it would work for Romney in 2012 general election, but Obama was too strong and Ohio wouldn't play ball with the manipulators.
2016 - fix is in already...RNC will throw primaries to electable candidate. General election voting machine software will pronounce the republican the winner.
We should have demanded these machines be decommissioned years ago. Is it too late

(24,764 posts)They have the software to launch a man-in-the-middle attack and fix the vote count to make it appear as if Jebbie wins the nomination. That's my prediction.
Remember 2012, when Karl Rove lost his shit when rMoney didn't win Ohio? Rumor has it that Anonymous stopped the attack.
