John Edwards Trial Juror Flirting With Ex-Senator

The alternate, who on Friday wore a "revealing red top with a single strap and and exposed right shoulder," is flirting with Edwards.

ABC News described it thus:

The juror clearly instigated the exchanges. She smiles at him. He smiles at her. She giggles. He blushes.

The flirtation has become so obvious that even Edwards’ attorneys have to work to suppress their laughter at the absurdity of it all.

The female alternate juror isn't the only one behaving oddly -- all four alternate jurors dressed in red on Friday after being dressed in yellow Thursday.

A few months ago I was on a right-wing forum arguing over media biases and the quality of news media around the world.

I went to the home pages of several news outlets - MSNBC, CNN, BBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, Al-Jazeera, The Guardian, and the New York Times. Just from those front pages, I counted links to stories about relevant, meaningful topics; world events, economy, elections and legislation, even sports events counted as relevant for this, because at least that's something happening.

I didn't bother measuring bias, just coverage of "actual" news.

ABC was the absolute rock-bottom, as far as actual news went. While all the others talked about Afghanistan, or Scottish Independence, or the Republican campaign, or scientific findings, or big soccer wins, ABC was talking about puerile celebrity gossip. completely. People magazine could tell me more about hte world around me than ABC news.

And if you're curious, Al-Jazeera came in first. I also think I discovered Fox's secret - it actually gives excellent coverage to meaninful news events. This gives it the look and feel of a legitimate, thorough news source. The actual content is biased beyond any repair, but the coverage is really quite nice (it was #4 - The Guardian and MSNBC were #2 and #3)
