Austerity!
The revised figures for British 1st Quarter GDP were released yesterday and they showed that UK GDP did not shrink by 0.2% last quarter. It shrank by 0.3%. Declining construction led the way.
This means austerity works! That's two negative quarters of GDP in a row, meaning that the UK is officially in a recession!
The naysayers said Austerity couldn't do it, but it did.
Builders are now so confident in the UK's fiscal outlook that they don't even feel a need to build anything, and sent all the workers home for a well-deserved rest.
