bad......be sure to have your privacy settings all set bfore you post any thing . can pick up virusses like your email watch out what you open .. adds up the wazoo the like button will follow you ... that's about it .

Because their parents are on FB now.

My guess is that we'll have a FB (or something similar) for the rest of human history, better get used to it.

FB and some long lost friends too. I will always be grateful to it for that. I love that I can go on and see what my cousins, who I haven't seen in 45 years are up to. I've even gotten to meet one in person, considering they mostly live in another country that is really saying something. FB has been great for me.

On the other hand, some people know a lot of assholes and for them not only is FB a shitty bar but it's filled with assholes they can't stand.

there are times I absolutely hate it, but it's been wonderful to stay in touch with family and share photos. I've reconnected with old friends.

Right now, I love it because timeline is no longer the bane of my existence.

I'm one of the lucky ones who still hasn't been switched over yet, but I dread it! I never visit the profiles of any friends who already have it :/

I use it to stay in touch with political people (all of the "people you may know" that come up for me are state legislators), for work (again in the political field), and to stay in touch with out of state friends and family.

It's also a very good way to share photos (I hate emailing photos) and free online storage. I have very tight privacy settings.

It's convenient to keep in touch with friends (I'm housebound). You have to be careful with your privacy settings though.
