Donald Trump took an unprovoked slap at George W. Bush in an interview broadcast Friday, blaming the former U.S. president for not preventing the 9/11 terror attacks.

Asked by Bloomberg Television anchor Stephanie Ruhle how Americans might trust him to keep them safe, the Republican presidential front-runner bristled at the mention of Bush's role as comforter-in-chief after 9/11, and President Barack Obama's similar position following the December 2012 school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.

'OK, I think I have a bigger heart than all of them,' he said. 'I think I'm much more competent than all of them.'
'When you talk about George Bush – I mean, say what you want, the World Trade Center came down during his time.'

Ruhle jumped in, saying, 'Hold on! You can't blame George Bush for that.'

'He was president, OK?' Trump responded. 'Blame him or don't blame him, but he was president. The World Trade Center came down during his reign.'

How pathetic for @realdonaldtrump to criticize the president for 9/11. We were attacked & my brother kept us safe.

It's not like this was a security breach like on the level of some mismanaged emails. Only a few thousand people died horribly violent deaths. The Donald is really out of line! I want to hear more about Hilliary's damn emails and her eventual prosecution for playing fast and loose with the nation's national security.

Next he should talk about the tortures under the Bush Cheney watch. Imagine the shit the Republicans would lay on a Democrat if that happened on their watch.

like his brother who insists that he kept America safe and pretend that 9/11 did not happen under his watch. Remember those marines didn't die under Reagan either.

They are never to blame.

There's nothing stunning about stating a fact.

their extremely disingenuous position.

Most of the human generated information that is rained upon our citizens is criminally based raw propaganda simply designed to control the majority. No wonder the American Public shows signs of mental illness. They are continually being bombarded by junk disguised as news.

Almost everything about our Government has been hijacked by greedy, pathological money grubbers.

Ruhle jumped in, saying, 'Hold on! You can't blame George Bush for that.'

In what world does a statement like that make sense? It happened on his watch and he ignored warnings. He was warned and did absolutely nothing. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Not one phone call. Not one meeting. No action taken what so ever.

I could give him a break if he tried something and it failed. But he didn't do anything!

He is a three time loser.

1. He failed to heed warnings before the attack.

2. He failed to act during the attack.

3. He failed to catch Bin Laden after the attack.

And even a buffoon like Il Douche speaks the real truth once in a great while.

Hate to say it, but he's right.

And what's this "you can't blame him" horseshit. He WAS pretzeldent for eight months beforehand and paid zero attention to the warnings he was given. Maybe it was Al Gore's fault?

It's a direct response to Jeb's lie about his brother 'keeping us safe'. Why would he have to 'explain' it? Is the original author too dense to understand?
