Carson is old enough to have heard of it by now.

I realize that not everyone reads about or hears about various events during WWII --- there was so much. But that story might help him overcome his naivete about instances where people are being held against their will.

I find his lack of historical knowledge and understanding to be frightening for someone who wants to be the most powerful leader on the planet.

I realize that the Warsaw uprising isn't exactly the same as what has happened with these shootings, but the relevant fact is that there are too many variables to support accepting Carson's advice about rushing a gunman.

Agreed: Carson is dumb as mud.

There is something very wrong with the way this man's brain functions--or doesn't.

Strange that he called it a Popeye's "organization", and not a joint or a restaurant. But why on earth would you invent a dumb ass story like that when it doesn't exactly reflect well on your character. If it is true, you'd better keep it to yourself. It's like when he told an audience about how he used to throw rocks at cars. Weird.
