From my perceptive the GOP is power hungry, i.e. money and controlling, and they don't a eff about America nor her people or the rest of the world.

We enjoy watching them eat their own, but that is just the appetizer...we are the main course. As much as I detested Boehner, there are worse ones waiting in the wings.

The Republicans control the House despite polling 2 million fewer votes in 2014. Each and every member of their caucus is a god unto himself. None of them are interested in governance, which should always be distinguished from an antipathy toward big government (if you want smaller government, you at least still want to govern).

These maniacs don't see anything wrong with the House of Representatives collapsing like the House of Usher. They've all got their sugar daddies to finance whatever feckless post-career plans they might have. The rest of the country can just go hang as far as they're concerned. And that is, indeed, dangerous.
