Politics Done Right: This redistricting story about Corrine Brown must be told

A story appeared in my Facebook feed that drew my attention. It was a piece by Roland Martin on NewsOne Now. The story was explosive for many reasons. I waited to see if it would get major coverage on any of the networks. If it did, I did not see it.

One thing for sure is that the story is at the core of our Democracy. Yet Donald Trump's shenanigans took precedence.

Corrine Brown has been working with the Florida Republicans to protect her district map. Democratic interests are the ones suing to have the districts (including hers) redrawn.

Her district currently is a guaranteed Democratic House seat but will likely be more split in the new maps favored by the Florida Democrats. This will also make 4 Republican leaning districts more competitive, the lawsuits are a net win for Democrats even though it does possibly sacrifice Brown's present district.
