That is why such fear is primarily a conservative phenomenon.

Others will settle elsewhere, mingle or not, and all sorts of other things occur.

This is why resettlement is important, it give refugees options they normally don't have access to. Safety and security, then deal with the rest later.

3. I have met many refugees over my lifetime all the way back to WWII.

All of them really wanted to go back an rebuild once it was safe to do so. As it is so often many got caught up in life, raising families and trying to survive so they didn't. But it wasn't that they didn't want to go back.

Or to have never left. That's why I always argue that we need to see what we can do to help the people where they are. I don't always love where I live, but it's home.
